
Instructional Designer and Facilitator

We are seeking a self-motivated and inquisitive Instructional Designer and Facilitator to join our Learning and Development team! The Instructional Designer and Facilitator's focus is to partner across the organization to serve multiple departments and leaders to identify performance, skill, knowledge, information, and mindset gaps. You will also be responsible for developing learning plans to ensure that the curriculum meets the learning experiences to fill the gaps identified.

Essential Functions Include:

Provide instructional design development, maintenance, and technical production of task/job-based training, provide instructional design, development, maintenance, and technical production of task/job-based training on credit union products/services.

Create standard and custom training programs through multiple training delivery channels including traditional instructor-led courses, virtual (webinar) courses (synchronous and asynchronous distance learning, self-paced course materials, video presentation, multi-media eLearning courses, and training kits that support various credit union team members.

Design effective instructional materials, interactions, simulations, and assessments to support the required instructional strategy.

Interact with credit union leaders/managers, subject-matter experts, application development teams, business analysts, and others as needed to determine the scope of a project and ensure accuracy and timely delivery of training programs.

Design and facilitate training specific to departmental needs based on observation data and progress monitoring.

Evaluate training and development programs and measures results. Modifies training programs when necessary to adapt to business or work environment changes.

Serve as a mentor for less experienced team members. Provides leadership guidance and direction, as needed.

Develop and lead high potential employee program.

Identify vendor solutions to help meet business learning requirements and needs and manage vendor relationships.

Researches and identifies new topics to be covered in training sessions. Communicates training needs to management.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Technology, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.

Expert-level proficiency with all Microsoft Office tools and applications, especially PowerPoint.

Excellent grasp of adult learning theory, educational models, and eLearning/instructional design principles.

Exceptional ability to handle multiple projects without sacrificing a detail-driven approach.

Demonstrated experience designing and developing training materials in ILT and VILT modalities.

Ability to work independently as well in collaborative team settings, demonstrate independent judgment, ask probing questions, and move in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Be a self-starter, organized, and demonstrate the ability to meet aggressive timelines.

Proficient in utilizing virtual meeting software (Zoom, Teams, etc.)

Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization and with different levels of technological understanding.

Strong presentation and communication skills; ability to facilitate and present to groups of varying sizes and skill levels.

Able to communicate complex technical concepts and ideas, both verbally and in written form, clearly and accurately.

Must demonstrate a superior level of service, be a positive role model for staff, and demonstrate a high level of commitment to the organization.
